& on Thursday February 9th from 1 to 5pm.
East Side Flag Football Team - Manhattan & Brooklyn Champs
Congratulations to the Flag Football team & their coach Sammy DeJesus for all they have accomplished. In the 2 years they have been playing they hold a record of 21-1 and have won 3 championships! They worked and played hard these last 3 months, winning 13 consecutive games including the downtown championship and the Manhattan Varsity Championship against IS111, 46-17. Three East Side students also participated in the All-Star game following the MNYC Championship. We're proud of you East Side!
East Side Chess Team Triumphs Veterans Day
Over 780 students competed in this holiday in hopes to make a statement for Nationals. We're talking about some of the best teams in the country competing in this tournament. East Side defended its National Championship Title masterfully. The East Side chess team competed in 3 out of 4 divisions, taking 1st place in the Reserve section, 4th in the Novice section, and 2nd place in the Beginners section. Congratulations to the East Side Chess Team and their coaches Juan & Sammy DeJesus. WAY TO GO EAST SIDE!!
